Hello everyone Welcome to another edition of Kenja's Newsletter & Updates. I know a lot of you must have been wondering why the contest winner announcements and the newsletter are a week late. Well, it is because I have been trying to fight off the flu and I do not seem to be able to shake it, at least not yet... it's been 10 days now. So, I hope you will forgive me and bear with me while I am trying to do my best here. This issue won't be quite as long as previous ones, but hopefully by next issue I will feel better again... and things get back to normal. *smile* Site Related News:I have added 2 new desktop themes to the Fall Holiday section. Both themes come with wallpaper for 800x600 screen settings, 5 icons, set of cursors, Logo SYS files (Start-up, Wait and Shutdown screens) and 18 wave sound files. The names for these themes (safe for children as well) are as follows:
The Stationery has been updated again with 2 new Holiday categories. One is for Halloween with 21 new Stationery, and 5 matching wallpaper located at Webshots' Halloween section. The other new category is Thanksgiving with 14 new Stationery, and 9 matching wallpaper at Webshots' Thanksgiving section. Past Lives Revealed offers not only free Mystic Desktop Enhancements (Themes & Wallpaper), original Inspirational Multimedia Greetings Cards you can send to friends and/or family, but also various Reading services, or you can attend one of our Metaphysical Classes held live in our Chatroom. Our next Class "Connecting with your Spirit Guide" is being held on Tuesday October 31st, at 9 PM EST. If you would like to attend this free class, just enter the site and follow the link on the main menu to the Chatroom. We look forward to seeing you there! *smile* Readings are done in exchange for donations and/or a Random Act of Kindness and include but are not limited to: Psychic, Clairvoyant, Dreams, Palmistry, Numerology, Tarot (in English and in Spanish), Astrology, Missing Persons, Missing Items, Ghost, Haunting, Past Lives, Herbalist, Angels, Guides, Reiki, and more. * NOTE* I use Zip Magic to compress Stationery and/or Desktop Theme files into EXE format. If you ever get a password prompt during installation... ignore it and proceed. They are not password protected! For more installation help visit either the Stationery Help, Theme Help, the Hotbar Skin Tutorial, or the WinAmp Skin sections. |
Halloween 2000 Ghost Story and Recipe Contest:The number of Entries for the Contest were extremely low (they 'su..ed'!) compared to the number of subscribers we have (8,000+). I am not sure at this point if I will have another contest any time soon or ever again for that matter... especially since this is coming out of my own pocket, and I need to be inspired too. At least I tried something new, and it just didn't work out the way I had envisioned it. *sad smile* The few entries that I did receive (also had unexpected mail server problems for the last 2 weeks... entries might have been returned as non-delivery) were all great! I enjoyed them so much, that I decided to award a prize to all the entries. Winners have been notified of their Prizes for the Halloween 2000 Contest. You may view the winning entries in the Contest section of the Haunted House. The Gifts:
Please make note that the gifts are only for actual subscribers to this newsletter and not for visitors to the archive copies based on the net. Gifts are available for a limited time with each issue, roughly about 7 days and will then be removed... so get 'em while you can! |
*NOTE* At the time of publication, all URL listed in this newsletter are working. Please keep in mind that if a URL does not work, it may be due to an increase in traffic or other temporary causes I have no control over. Try them again at a later time.
Mostly Games:I was going to continue with the PSP Tutorials, but I save that for next issue, when I am more myself again. In the meantime I will just introduce you to a few great programs to keep you entertained and that are not as involved as tutorials (most are probably still working on the tutorials from last issue). *smile*:

On the Lighter Side of Life -:)The following joke was submitted by Dia... I should have known about that one before my outbreak of the flu. *laughing*:How to prevent DiseaseMiss Annie was in her eighties, and much admired for her sweetness and kindness to all. The pastor came to call on her one afternoon early in the spring, and she welcomed him into her Victorian parlor. She invited him to have a seat while she prepared a little tea. As he sat facing her old pump organ, the young minister noticed a cut glass bowl sitting on top of it, filled with water. In the water floated, of all things, a condom. Imagine his shock and surprise!! Imagine his curiosity!!! Surely Miss Annie had flipped or something...! But he certainly couldn't mention the strange sight in her parlor. When she returned with tea and cookies, they began to chat. The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him, and he could resist no longer. "Miss Annie," he said, "I wonder if you would tell me about this?" (pointing to the bowl). "Oh, yes," she replied, "isn't it wonderful? I was walking downtown last fall and I found this little package. The directions said to put it on the organ, keep it wet, and it would prevent disease. And you know... I haven't had a cold all winter." Author: Unknown |
